In this blog, we’ll take you through the 5 crucial steps that will elevate your wash bay experience to a professional level. We’re going to cover:
- Rims that really pop: How to remove brake dust without damaging your paint or wheels.
- Wash bay chemistry: Why using osmosis water actually allows you to use less product for a better effect.
- Showroom tires: The secret behind deep black rubber (without that ugly brown haze).
- Invisible windows: The ultimate tip for streak-free visibility, every single time.
- The 'Gloss Bomb': Our absolute favorite finishing touch that will make the neighbors jealous.
Tip 1
Rims that define the look
Dirty wheels drag down the entire appearance of your car. It’s like wearing an expensive suit with muddy sneakers underneath. We use the Nanolex Wheel Cleaner & Iron Remover.
This is a pH-neutral cleaner that turns purple as soon as it comes into contact with brake dust. It really loosens the grime. One thing to watch out for: only do this when your wheels are cold. Don’t roll up like a maniac with glowing hot brake discs, because the product will dry instantly, and you definitely want to avoid that.
Detailing Tip: Use a microfiber brush or wash mitt to reach the inside of the rim as well. That’s the difference between 'clean' and 'perfect.'
- Verwijdert remstof en vliegroest snel en effectief
- Tast coatings niet aan
- pH- neutrale formule
- Meerdere formaten
Tip 2
The power of a good shampoo (and osmosis water)
A good foundation is everything. Use a shampoo like Monello Lavare. This is pH-neutral and won’t affect your existing wax layer or sealant. What really sets this shampoo apart is its incredible lubricity. That extra slickness isn't just nice to work with; it’s also much more effective and safer. This helps you keep the risk of wash scratches (swirls) to an absolute minimum.
In the wash bay, you often have the advantage of osmosis water (lime-free water). Because of this, you actually need much less product: instead of the usual 16ml per 10 liters of water, 10ml is already enough for a beautiful, stable foaming result.
Detailing Tip: Always use the two-bucket system, even in the wash bay. One bucket with soap, one with clean rinse water. This prevents you from rubbing the dirt you just took off the car back onto your paint.
- pH neutral shampoo
- Safe for wax, sealant and coating
- Works residue-free
- Economical in use
- Zeer snelle bandendressing op waterbasis
- Zowel nat als droog te verwerken
- Geleverd met doseerpompje
- Geeft een matte afwerking
Tip 3
Black tires make the man
Brown, dull tires on a clean car? That’s like a flag on a dung hill; it brings the whole look down. That's why you should use a tire dressing like GYEON Q²M Tire Express.
The big advantage of this product is that it’s water-based. This means you can apply it perfectly fine to a slightly damp tire, which is ideal for the wash bay. You only need one or two pumps on an applicator. Work it in, and your tires will be deep black again without looking greasy or feeling sticky.
Detailing Tip: After applying, give the tires a quick wipe with an (old) microfiber cloth. This removes any excess product and prevents the dressing from 'slinging' onto your clean paint while driving. Plus, it ensures a beautiful, even finish.
Tip 5
Gloss in a bottle
If there’s one product that Dennis describes as a "gloss bomb," it’s Dodo Juice Red Mist. This is a solvent-based spray sealant that instantly gives your paint more depth and extreme reflection.
It’s simple to use: spray a small amount onto an applicator, spread it over a panel, and buff it off immediately with a clean microfiber cloth. Don’t wait too long, or you’ll get streaks. The result? Your neighbors will be jealous.
Detailing Tip: Make sure the car is truly cool and not in direct sunlight when applying Red Mist. This prevents the product from evaporating too quickly and leaving spots.
- Boost voor je bestaande wax
- Ook als losstaande bescherming bruikbaar
- Waterafstotend
- Geweldige beading
