Before applying a wax or sealant, you want to prepare the surface as thoroughly as possible. Pre-wax cleaners remove contamination from the paint’s pores, water spots, light oxidation, and swirls. Using a machine for application significantly enhances these corrective properties.
Dodo Juice Lime Prime is exactly such a product, even winning 'Polish Product of the Year' when it was first released. It is perfect for both manual and machine application, and a little bit of product goes a long way.
Lime Prime utilizes very fine abrasives that carefully prepare the paintwork to be finished with your choice of wax or sealant. As you might expect from its name, Lime Prime has a refreshing lime scent.
The high-quality fine abrasives make this product perfect for almost all modern high-gloss medium to hard paints—think of German and French cars, for example. For classic and Japanese cars, Critical Finish is often a better choice, as these paints tend to be very soft and sensitive.
Finally, it is important to realize that Lime Prime (or any pre-wax product) is perfect if you want to extract the maximum amount of gloss from your paintwork before applying a wax or sealant. If your goal is maximum durability and gloss is slightly less important, we recommend degreasing the paintwork after using Lime Prime to maximize the lifespan of your wax or sealant.

1. Voorbereiding
- Wassen: Zorg dat de auto grondig is gewassen en gedroogd.
- Kleien (optioneel): Voor het allergladste resultaat is het aan te raden de lak vooraf te behandelen met een detailklei om vastzittend vuil te verwijderen.
- Omgeving: Werk bij voorkeur in de schaduw en op een koel oppervlak.
2. Handmatige verwerking
- Aanbrengen: Doe 2 tot 3 druppels ter grootte van een erwt op een microfiber- of foam applicator pad.
- Inwerken: Breng het product aan op een klein oppervlak (ongeveer 40x40 cm). Maak overlappende, cirkelvormige of rechte bewegingen met lichte druk.
- Controleren: Blijf werken totdat er een dunne, olieachtige waas achterblijft. Laat het product niet volledig opdrogen op de lak.
3. Machinale verwerking (Dual Action polijstmachine)
- Pad keuze: Gebruik een zwarte of witte (finishing/light polishing) pad.
- Dosering: Breng 3 of 4 druppels aan op de pad.
- Snelheid: Verspreid het product op een lage stand over het vlak. Verhoog de snelheid naar een medium stand (bijv. stand 3 of 4) en maak langzame banen met lichte druk.
- Finish: Werk het door tot de waas nagenoeg transparant wordt.
4. Afnemen en nabehandelen
- Uitpoetsen: Gebruik een schone, zachte microvezeldoek om het residu direct af te nemen. Doe dit paneel voor paneel.
- Beschermen: Breng direct na het gebruik van Lime Prime je favoriete wax (bijvoorbeeld van Dodo Juice) of sealant aan voor een langdurige bescherming.

Pre-wax cleanser
Fijn middel om met de hand de (metallic) lak op te frissen. Vult swirls en heeft een licht polijstend effect. Oxidatie van lak is goed te behandelen. Na gebruik even met detail spray en een zachte doek vegen. Ideaal als voorbereiding voor wax, zelf gebruikte ik purple haze van dodo juice. Product is zuinig in gebruik

Goed
Het is een goede manier om van je oude waxlaag of te geraken. De glaze die er in verbergt een beetje swirlmarks en laat een mooie gloss achter. Een nadeel is dat er weinig instructies bij zijn ik dacht met die glaze die er in zit laat ik het even drogen wat een gigantische fout was want het liet enorm veel swirlmarks achter na het weg vegen, dus zeker niet laten drogen. Eigenlijk gebruik je het gewoon als een polish. Met 100ml kan je zeker 2 auto's doen of 3 kleine auto's
